The Texas Ski Council Youth Foundation (TSCYF) is a 501 (c) (3) non profit dedicated to getting kids and families outdoors-on the mountain together.
We remove financial barriers so youth can experience the joy, confidence, and lifelong benefits of skiing and snowboarding.
Why It Matters
Today's kids are spending less time outside and more time on screens. Snow sports offer something powerful in return--movement, resilience, confidence, and connection.
Through the TSCYF young participants:
- Build confidence by learning new skills
- Strengthen family bonds through shared experiences
- Develop a lifelong appreciation for outdoor recreation
- Gain access to opportunities they otherwise wouldn't have
What We Do
Since 2005, TSCYF has partnered with Texas Ski Council clubs and premier mountain resorts to make snow sports accessible to youth ages 4-17.
We provide:
1. Trip subsidies to offeset travel costs
2. Discounted lessons, rentals, and lift tickets
3. Family-focused group experiences designed for first-time and beginners skiers/snowboarders
Our Thanksgiving Youth Program has introduced hundreds of children and families to the mountains, many for the first time.
More Than a Trip--A Lifelong Journey
At TSCYF, impact isn’t measured in a single season—it’s seen across generations.
Many of the children we introduce to snow sports return year after year, building skills, confidence, and a lasting connection to the mountains. Over time, they become teen participants, adult skiers, and future members of Texas Ski Council clubs—continuing the cycle for the next generation.
